Statement of Faith

• The Bible: We believe the Bible is the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21).
• The Trinity: We believe in the Trinity. God has existed from all eternity in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Deut. 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Cor 13:14; John 1:1-2,14).
• Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ, born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:34-35), was God who came in human flesh being fully God and fully man except without sin (John 1:14; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 2:14-17).
• Human Nature: Man is by nature sinful and is inherently in need of salvation (Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9-13).
• Salvation: Salvation is given as a gift, free to every sinner. This gift must be responded to by faith, not by works. Only in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone is sanctification made. (Acts 13:38-39; Rom. 6:23; Eph. 2:8-9).
• Design and Gender: We believe that God created the human race male and female and that all conduct with the intent to adopt a gender other than one’s birth gender is immoral and therefore sin. (Genesis 1:26-27; Deuteronomy 22:5).
• Marriage and Sexuality: We believe that God has established marriage as an exclusive relationship between one man and one woman and that all intimate sexual activity outside the marriage relationship, whether heterosexual, homosexual, or otherwise, is immoral and therefore sin. (Genesis 2:24-25; Romans 1:18-31; I Corinthians 6:9-10, 15-20).
• Compassion and Respect: We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31). Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor with the principles of this group.
